What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Director of the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the nation's principal health statistics agency, providing executive leadership, strategic vision, and scientific direction for the collection, analysis, dissemination, and modernization of the Nation's health and vital statistics.
- →Directs a broad portfolio of statistical science programs, including national health surveys, vital statistics, health data systems, statistical methodology, and research initiatives that provide accurate, timely, and reliable information to inform public health policy, health care delivery, and scientific decision-making.
- →Serves as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on health statistics and provides leadership for the development and implementation of statistical policies, data standards, and innovative approaches to strengthen the nation's public health data infrastructure.
- →Provides executive oversight for strategic planning, organizational management, workforce leadership, resource allocation, and program evaluation to ensure NCHS achieves CDC and HHS priorities.
