About the Role
As a Director (Contracting Division), you will be responsible for the management, planning, coordination, and execution of activities assigned. Location of position: FAS, Office of Shared Services Delivery Duty Location to be determined upon selection This office strives to deliver high-quality, reliable shared services that support our workforce and enable mission success across FAS. We are currently filling eight vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as the Director for one of the Office's contracting divisions in the Office of Shared Services Delivery (FD).
- →Plans, manages, directs, and coordinates activities related to acquisition and acquisition support services conducted within one of the Centers.
- →Provides executive leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of the series of functions of the functionally aligned Branches, to include acquisition planning, execution and management; automotive/fleet products and services; travel and transportation services; supply chain management solutions, logistics, emergency management, financial services, and shared service solutions.
- →Coordinates and administers Government-wide procurement policies and plans in global support of customer requirements.
- →Manages the human resources of the Center's division.
- →Assigns work, plans and schedules the work of subordinates.
- →Directs the full range of contract administration activities, including contract modifications, negotiation of changes, exercise of options for contracts, investigation and resolution of contract delays, contractor performance appraisals, subcontractor surveillance, disposition of claims and the termination of contracts for the convenience of the government or for default by the contractor.
- →Analyzes various support programs and recommends changes to enhance support to customers.
- →Identifies, through monitoring, trends in customer feedback to determine deficiencies in operation procedures, and communications, as well as the need for new product or service expansion.
- →Leads negotiation and establishes final terms and conditions, including pricing, for all procurements.
- →Processes price reductions, negotiates the addition to (or deletion of) products and services from contracts, invokes the cancellation clauses under contracts, and terminates contracts as may be necessary.
