About the Role
This position serves as a Deputy to the Forest Supervisor, with responsibility for the management, protection, and development of the forest resources on the National Forest. For additional information about the duties of this position, please contact Shawn Cochran at shawn.cochran@usda.gov.
What You'll Do
- →Represents the Forest Supervisor in any transaction affecting the Forest, either in-Service or out, with the same degree of authority to commit the Forest, but subject to post review by superior.
- →Exercises final commitment authority to make administrative and technical decisions on all National Forest matters during absence of superior where authority is delegable.
- →Provides leadership, allocates resources, and implements activities to accomplish Forest Service multicultural organization direction and Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights requirements, goals, policies, and objectives.
- →Shares responsibility with the Forest Supervisor for providing technical and administrative leadership in and direction to all activities on the Forest.
- →Foster an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are leveraged to achieve the vision and mission of the organization.
- →Performs supervisory duties more than 25% of the time.
