About the Role
You will serve as the Deputy Director, Maintenance & Readiness Division for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Sustainment under the Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV).
What You'll Do
- →You will provide OPNAV assessments for afloat readiness program requirements.
- →You will lead a cross-functional team across multiple resource sponsors assessing all Personnel, Equipment, Supply, Training, Ordnance, Networks, and Installations (PESTONI) requirements as directed.
- →You will develop and present Navy inputs to short-fused Secretary of Defense readiness reporting requirements such as the President’s readiness report, the Secretary’s Readiness Reporting Framework, and the Defense Planning Guidance Readiness Review.
- →You will assess ship, submarine and aircraft readiness to perform assigned missions including peacetime cruising, forward world-wide presence and executing Operational Plan (OPLAN) war requirements.
- →You will formulate and articulate the organizational vision, goals, and priorities that guide, focus, and sustain the organization in a consistently volatile, strenuous, and highly demanding environment.
- →You will manage the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process and must have a thorough understanding of an operational and strategic reserve’s financial requirements.
- →You will synchronize the Navy and Navy Reserve Force’s development of plans to station, deploy, and redeploy Navy Reserve forces to meet requirements within the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP).
- →You will maintain cognizance of current Congressional activities and identifies legislative issues that may have future impact on Reserve Component policies, plans, and strategy; keeping Navy senior leaders appraised of such developments.
