This position is part of the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Department of Energy. As a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, you will provide advice to the Deputy Chief Information Officer for Cybersecurity and provide senior-level management leadership, guidance, expert advice, and collaboration regarding cybersecurity programs, field sites, laboratories, and oversight of contractors in developing, promoting, and maintaining information assurance security measures.
What You'll Do
- →As a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, you will: Direct, lead, and manage the agency's overarching IT cybersecurity (INFOSEC) program, aligning security initiatives, action plans, and milestones with strategic organizational goals.
- →Formulate, implement, and evaluate comprehensive cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure full compliance with federal regulations and security frameworks.
- →Oversee cybersecurity risk management, vulnerability identification, critical asset protection, and the assessment of security impacts from emerging technologies.
- →Direct cybersecurity incident investigations, security control remediations, and corrective actions to safeguard network infrastructure and system postures.
- →Provide overall technical oversight, coordinates interdisciplinary teams, and manages program resources to maintain high-quality cybersecurity operations.
