About the Role
VA Central California Health Care System is currently seeking a full-time Dentist. This position is critical to the VA's mission to provide high-quality, Veteran-centered care.
What You'll Do

- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
- →Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized The staff dentist is a very experienced and proficient oral health care provider whose scope of practice includes providing outpatient and inpatient general dental care, as well as performing other assigned duties involving education and administration.
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to: Provides outpatient and inpatient general dental procedures in accordance with assigned clinical privileges.
- →Provides patient education as appropriate.
- →Communicates and interacts appropriately and courteously with internal and external customers.
- →Maintains confidentiality of patient/employee information (electronic, verbal, written).
- →Provides technical clinical supervision to assigned dental assistant.
- →Works in a safe manner as regards infection control, operation of equipment, etc.
- →Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- ✓Effective May 7, 2025, driver's licenses or state-issued identification cards that are not REAL ID compliant cannot be utilized as an acceptable form of identification for employment.
- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- ✓You may be required to serve a probationary period.
