About the Role
The Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon will be board certified or board eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS), have earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree, and will have completed an ADA accredited training program.
What You'll Do
- →VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
- →Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm; Monday to Friday Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
- →The individual must be proficient in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment care in all the above areas.
- →They must be trained and competent in providing IV conscious sedation and be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- →They must be able to manage medically complex patients, including inpatients, and to perform a history and physical.
- →The individual must be proficient in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and post treatment care in all the above areas.
- →A DDS/DMD degree combined with a MD degree is required.
- →The individual must be able to work collegially with other dentists and physicians, and should possess the skills, both interpersonal and professional, to work with residents in OMS, other dental specialties and Advanced General Dentistry.
- →Assignment includes advanced understanding and use of the computerized record system.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
