About the Role
The Endodontist appointed to the Medical Staff of the VA Northern California Health Care System assigned to Dental Service is an independent, licensed practitioner that holds a full and unrestricted license in any state. Endodontists will be graduates of an ADA accredited dental school and where applicable will be graduates of an accredited residency in the applicable Endodontic Specialty residency.
What You'll Do
- →VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; Full-Time, 40 hours per week The provider will perform only those privileges for which approval has been granted by the Medical Center Director prospectively and in writing.
- →Privileges will be renewed per medical staff bylaws and facility regulations.
- →An endodontist provides direct patient care in a hospital or outpatient setting to adults with or without acute and chronic medical conditions and serves as a consultant to other healthcare providers.
- →The endodontist is experienced in interpretation of dental radiographs and in delivery of diagnostic consultations and clinical dental treatments as outlined in their individual approved privileges.
- →The incumbent is assigned as a staff dentist or dental specialist in the Dental Service and reports to the Chief, Dental Service.
- →The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Function as an equal member within the larger team of staff dentist and auxiliary staff.
- →Responsible for providing consultation and treatment within the scope of their specific clinical privileges.
- →Provide education and training to members of the medical staff through various conferences, committees, and lecture series.
- →May be assigned administrative or managerial responsibilities through participation in clinical, education and administrative committees, task groups or special projects.

- ✓Effective May 7, 2025, driver's licenses or state-issued identification cards that are not REAL ID compliant cannot be utilized as an acceptable form of identification for employment.
- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- ✓You may be required to serve a probationary period.
