About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at the 75th Medical Group, Hill Air Force Base in Utah. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Provide oral health services to include detailed technical operations in the fabrication, design, testing, repair, and constructing of complex dental prostheses for patients with severe dentofacial abnormalities.
- →Construct porcelain and/or acrylic bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, and crowns to resolve problems of retention, balance, and tension on natural teeth and tissue.
- →Advise dentist and dental specialists on difficult design and construction problems such as fabricating complex dental or intra-oral maxillofacial appliances, bite openers, swing-lock, precision attachments, and obturator prostheses.
- →Fabricate removable, partial, and complete dentures for intricate fixed dental prostheses, ensuring normal chewing, speech, and esthetic functions.
- →Create stone models, wax patterns, and casts in precious metals, fusing porcelain to metals when necessary.
- →Plan classroom and laboratory instruction for dental laboratory technicians to enhance their skills.
