This Full-Time position is located at the Fort Polk Child Development Center (6wks-5yrs) in Leesville, Louisiana. Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a first level supervisor for assigned staff and assists the Director in the supervision of the day-to-day operation of the program/activity.
- →The incumbent reports and works directly with the Director with minimum supervision.
- →Assists with providing program oversight and accountability for the performance of employees, the safety of children, and customer needs.
- →Supervises staff to include assigning work, conducting performance reviews, and approving leave.
- →Establishes local performance standards for employees and volunteers using established standards and requirements and rates employees' performance.
- →Ensures facility complies with health, fire, safety, USDA, and program regulatory guidance and standards.
- →Observes program participants and identifies signs of illness, abuse or neglect, emotional distress, and follows mandated reporting protocols.
- →In conjunction with the Director ensures compliance with standards, criteria, and laws to obtain and retain DoD certification and national accreditation.
- →Assists with taking action to implement recommendations or correct deficiencies.
