What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team of U.S.
- →DOJ Special Agents in the Criminal Investigative Division for the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California that is responsible for planning, conducting, and managing complex criminal investigations.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Proactively coordinate, plan, and conduct complex investigations in one or more of the following areas: fraud and white-collar crimes, public corruption and civil rights, money laundering, violent crime, human-trafficking, criminal enterprise investigations, and national-security related offenses.
- →Efficiently evaluate leads, generate investigative strategy, organize the relevant resources and partner agencies as needed.
- →Develop operational plans and procedures for arrests and searches.
- →Conduct interviews of victims, witnesses, and subjects.
- →Conduct surveillance operations and undercover activities.
- →Serve subpoenas and search warrants.
- →Apprehend persons violating U.S. laws.
- →Collect evidence and conduct searches and seizures incident to arrest when appropriate or by warrant.
- →Collect and analyze data such as telephone and email records, financial records, open source and social media content, government records, business records.
- →Maintain organized case files and prepare comprehensive documents, reports, charts, and exhibits of investigation.
- →Testify in the grand jury, trial, and other court proceedings as to facts and to explain in detail how evidence was obtained.
- →Manage high-stress and high-profile investigative inventory.
