About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado in Behavioral Health. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Perform professional counseling and addiction medicine treatment in support of patients with an alcohol and substance abuse diagnosis.
- →Make clinical assessments to apply complex rehabilitation treatment services.
- →Develop treatment plans that incorporate psychological theory, counseling techniques, and goals needed to restore patients to their normal work and social environment.
- →Provide strategic interventions, motivational interviewing techniques and crisis counseling for patients and families.
- →Conduct ongoing review of patient progress and evaluate and modify treatment plans to meet changing needs.
- →Document case records consistent with clinical standards of care.
- →Provide training and/or supervision using professional knowledge of procedures and practices related to the addiction medicine outpatient program and Army Substance Abuse Program.
