What You'll Do
- →Formulates institution supplements to ensure Bureau of Prisons (BOP) policy is properly implemented at the institution level in the area of case management.
- →Provides technical assistance and serves as a resource for institution and administrative staff in case management and related areas.
- →Assists with Case Manager training during the on-the-job training required at the time of their entry on duty in the position.
- →Serves as a liaison with the U.S.
- →Parole Commission, U.S.
- →Probation Service and the federal courts.
- →Assists with the certification of staff in central inmate monitoring procedures and responsibility for the proper operation of the institution screening and locator center.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis.
Requirements
- ✓Career Transition Programs (CTAP): These programs apply to Federal and/or DOJ employees who meet the definition of surplus or displaced from a position in the competitive service.

- ✓Meet CTAP eligibility criteria; 2.
- ✓Be rated well-qualified for the position, scoring at least half of the total possible points for the vacancy KSAs or competencies; and 3.
- ✓Submit the appropriate documentation to support your CTAP eligibility: A copy of the agency notice (i.e., separation notice or agency RIF letter), Most recent performance appraisal, and Most recent SF-50 showing current/former position, grade, promotion potential, and duty location.
