About the Role
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Oregon is seeking a Contracting Officer position within our Administrative Division. This position is located in Portland, OR. What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for exercising a delegation of authority to contract for a variety of services, supplies and equipment.
- →In addition, you will provide a variety of administrative support services in such areas as purchasing, and space management.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Developing and documenting acquisition strategy for procuring supplies and services that may require a variety of specialized handling provisions, terms and conditions.

- →Preparing Statements of Work (SOW) or Statements of Objectives (SOO), and other documents necessary to ensure all appropriate specifications are clear prior to a formal solicitation process.
- →Reviewing requisitions and determining appropriate method of procurement; contract type; formal advertising; or other means adhering to appropriate policy, procedures, and processes.
- →Evaluating proposals, unsolicited proposals, and other bid documents.
- →Performing cost analysis and other evaluation actions to determine value of lowest bid in award decisions.
- →Preparing recommendations for award documenting reasons for decisions including justifying basis for not recommending the lowest bidder.
- →Projecting and analyzing space needs on proposed initiatives, staff changes, and technology improvements.
- →Providing administrative support in the areas of contracting and purchasing.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
