What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing technical guidance and contracting services.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Performing pre-award and post-award work on a variety of contract actions.
- →Developing and documenting acquisition strategy for procuring supplies and services that may require a variety of specialized handling provisions, terms and conditions.
- →Reviewing requisitions and determines appropriate contract type, competition requirements, contract vehicle and applicable FAR authorities.
- →Preparing all solicitation documents necessary to support a variety of contract actions.
- →Monitoring contractual milestones.
- →Developing and maintaining familiarity with Government contracting procedures, business practices, the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other regulations, policies and procedures.
- →Performing cost and price analysis, preparing contracts and executing award documents.
- →Preparing statements of work and resolving non-complex problems in the pre-award and post-award phases.
- →Reviewing technical and cost evaluation reports for accuracy and completeness.
- →Overseeing the performance management and assignments of the Contract Specialist, Purchasing Agent and Administrative Services Assistant.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓For a list of schools that meet this criteria, see http://www.ed.gov OR Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
