What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for exercising a delegation of authority to contract for a variety of services, supplies and equipment.
- →In addition, you will provide a variety of administrative support services in such areas as purchasing, and space management.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Developing and documenting acquisition strategy for procuring supplies and services that may require a variety of specialized handling provisions, terms and conditions.
- →Serving as the senior, and final, level review for all actions within delegated procurement authority associated with pre-award negotiation objectives, price reasonableness determinations, and contract dispute resolutions.
- →Preparing Statements of Work (SOW) and other documents necessary to ensure all appropriate specifications are clear prior to a formal solicitation process.
- →Reviewing requisitions and determining appropriate method of procurement; contract type; formal advertising; or other means adhering to appropriate policy, procedures, and processes.
- →Evaluating proposals, unsolicited proposals, and other bid documents.
- →Performing cost analysis and other evaluation actions to determine value of lowest bid in award decisions and preparing recommendations for award.
- →Providing administrative support in the areas of contracting and purchasing.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓For a list of schools that meet this criteria, see http://www.ed.gov OR Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
