About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This Contract Specialist position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer District, Contracting Division, with a duty station locations of Little Rock, AK and Galveston, TX and Fort Worth, TX. *NOTE* See "Additional Information" section regarding incentives.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as contract specialist responsible for pre-award and post-award actions, including price/cost analysis, negotiation, and administration for services, construction, supply and Architect-Engineer (A-E) requirement.
- →Review request for the procurement of specialized or complex items and equipment, extensive technical services, and/or unique construction.
- →Analyze the requirement, recommend revision to the statement of work or specification as necessary.
- →Prepare justification, approval, acquisition plan and other required clearance.
- →Prepare solicitation/amendment document incorporating provision such as cost accounting standard, cost or pricing data, special testing requirement, Government-furnished property, and payment provision as required.
- →Serves as contracting negotiator and function as the team leader during contractual negotiation.
- →Advise the Contracting Officer and other Government personnel on the contractor compliance with contract requirement and recommend alternatives available for effecting corrective action.
