This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. THIS POSITION WILL BE ASSIGNED TO ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND FOR THE FIRST 30 DAYS FOR TRAINING, THEN THE POSITION WILL SERVICE BOTH ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND AND ADELPHI, MARYLAND About the Position: Serves as Construction Control Representative with project lead and Contracting Officer responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- →Acts as Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for assigned projects and maintains the COR files in accordance with applicable regulations.
- →Interprets the intent of plans and specifications, and renders decisions to the contractor.
- →Participates with the contractor and subcontractors in planning the satisfactory accomplishment of the projects.
- →Assists in the preparation of sketches of design changes and estimates of cost for modifications to contracts.
- →Submits progress reports and maintains records of work accomplished Spot checks contractor operations for compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
- →Reviews and approves submittals which do not require specialized engineering knowledges and skills.
