This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Construction Control Representative GS-0809-12 position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Southwestern Division, Tulsa, Oklahoma. What You'll Do
- →Incumbent serves as a Senior Inspector on complicated issues concerning the construction of a major civil works projects, and administering construction contracts.
- →Coordinate the work with Contractors' personnel and representatives of the using service to assure timely and satisfactory accomplishment of all contracts.
- →Analyze problems and reviews and interprets the requirement of plans and specifications for Contractor representatives and other interested persons.
- →Supervises the layout of work and inspection of all work in progress.
- →Incumbent assures that materials incorporated into the construction work are in compliance with plans and specifications and approved shop drawings, and that items requiring laboratory testing are tested before use on the project.
- →Exercise surveillance to assure the Contractor is conducting quality control operations to produce work in conformance with plans and specifications.
- →Confer with Contractor's representatives on matters pertaining to interpretation of plans and specifications.
- →Research problems and draft responses and/or coordinates review by office staff, A/E, Resident Office, or District elements, as required.
