This vacancy is for a GS-0828-13, Construction Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SILC-FDCC-PROJECT EXECUTION BRANCH in NORFOLK, Virginia.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a/an Construction Analyst and be responsible for design and construction of all new Acquisition, Construction and Improvement (AC&I) funded shore facilities and for major maintenance and repair of all existing shore facilities within the Area.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Creating and recommending cost management policies and procedures to ensure effective cost control and consistent standards for Center projects.
- →Providing cost management and support to ensure accurate estimates and resolve contracts and claims for divisional projects.
- →Providing cost management and technical support to ensure accurate estimates and effective contract and claim resolution for divisional projects and procurement.
- →Managing procurement and contracts to ensure efficient resources, performance, and dispute resolution.
- →Serving as technical contact for construction management to provide guidance and ensure successful project delivery.
- →Coordinating equipment procurement and installation for buildings under construction to ensure timely facility outfitting and readiness.
- →Acting as technical expert and main contact for construction management, providing guidance, standards, recommendations, briefings, and support for facility operations.
