This position is located in Joshua Tree National Park, in the Division of Visitor and Resource Protection. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as permanent appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately mid-August through the end of July, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year (2 weeks / 1 pay period).
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties include: Evaluate commercial operations or permit holders for compliance with regulations.
- →Administer contracts and permits related to commercial use authorizations in a park or park like setting.
- →Correspond effectively with permitted commercial operators via email, phone, and in-person in order to obtain complex information.
- →Help commercial use authorization providers to understand applicable regulations and policies.
- →Investigate customer complaints, prepare replies and recommend appropriate corrective action.
- →Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
Requirements
- ✓Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Direct Deposit participation required.
