You will serve as a COMPUTER SCIENTIST in the SOFTWARE ENGINEERING BRANCH (N641) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as Computer Scientist for the Software Engineering Branch responsible for engineering solutions and developing and maintaining software.
- →You will develop software according to organizational engineering processes.
- →You will design, develop, and sustain quality software solutions, recommending and implementing techniques to improve organizational efficiencies and automated workflows.
- →You will maintain cybersecurity compliance of all supported software solutions.
- →You will plan and manage the software activities of a project team.
- →You will serve as a Technical Lead in monitoring overall team performance, execution, and delivery from a software development and maintenance perspective.
- →You will develop quality solutions, recommend and develop techniques to improve organizational efficiencies.
- →You will prepare and maintain software/system engineering documentation.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
- ✓At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
- ✓All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
- ✓Evaluation of Education: Applicants should have sufficient knowledge to understand the fundamental concepts and techniques of computer science.
- ✓Courses designed to provide an introduction to computer science techniques and methodologies, to problems of system design, and to other specialized fields are acceptable.
- ✓Courses or experience in teaching elementary, business, or shop mathematics are not acceptable. ***TRANSCRIPTS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVE EDUCATION REQUIREMENT***
