About the Role
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA CYBER DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as an engineer performing technical leadership and consultation services for the organization.
- →Responsible for engineering, planning, designing, and reviewing designs of information systems, which are designed as a total integrated system that incorporates a scalable hierarchy.
- →Conducts test and evaluations of systems and coordinates technical planning in installation activities by relating future program plans to available resources, installation responsibilities, and scientific discoveries.
- →Keeps abreast of new emerging technologies in areas of specialization.
- →Conducts in-house research, investigations, as well as directing and monitoring contractor personnel.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-14 grade level.
