About the Role
Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS) mission is to lead the Department of Defense (DoD) in finance and accounting by ensuring the delivery of efficient, exceptional quality pay and financial information.
What You'll Do
- →Applies mastery knowledge and skills in mathematical and statistical sciences, computer theory, algorithms, data structures, programming concepts and languages, and Cloud architecture to develop complex machine learning and AI solutions.
- →Conducts AI problem framing, design solutions, conceptualize products, and integrate them into micro-services architectures to support AI product development, deployment, and agency integration.
- →Formulates overall design concepts and criteria to establish the baseline for advancement of the state-of-the-art AI developments.
- →Provides technical advisement on data and AI-related feasibility, risks, and assumptions, considering data readiness, AI technology maturity, and emerging AI algorithms, techniques, and tools.
- →Develops and applies principles, theories, and techniques from computer science, software engineering, hardware design, enterprise computing, government cloud adoption, and information engineering.
- →Oversees the broad and highly complex development of integrated AI systems and solutions.
- →Work requires full documentation and responsibility for all policies, procedures, methods and techniques used as well as the development and implementation of new guidelines for use regarding production and operational efforts.
- →AI authority representing the agency and engaging in senior level briefings, planning conferences, and review meetings with functional, technical, and professional staff.
