What You'll Do
- →As a Computer Scientist (Artificial Intelligence), you will perform the following duties: Independently designs, develops, tests, implements, and maintains software applications and artificial intelligence solutions supporting agency programs and enterprise modernization initiatives.
- →Develops and implements machine learning models, predictive analytics solutions, and automation tools supporting organizational priorities.
- →Analyzes business requirements and translates functional needs into technical software solutions.
- →Applies professional computer science principles to ensure software quality, maintainability, reliability, scalability, and security.
- →This position may be filled at the GS-9 or GS-11 level, with promotion potential to the GS-13 level.
- →The GS-9 level provides an opportunity for professional development and progression to higher levels of responsibility.
- →The major duties described above are representative of the work performed at the GS-11 level.
- →This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Computer Scientist (Artificial Intelligence) GS-1550-9/11, positions with a full performance level to the GS13, within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
- ✓This position requires a SECRET CLEARANCE: Any required investigations and clearances must be completed before the selectee can be placed in the position.
- ✓You must successfully pass a background investigation.

- ✓A probationary period may be required.
