The primary purpose of this position is: Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), to serve as the Lead Europe Enterprise Service Center (EU-ESC) Air Force Sensitive Compartmented Information (AFSCI) Systems Security Engineer responsible for assessing Information Technology capabilities supporting enterprise development and operations for security worthiness and risk mitigation.
What You'll Do
- →DUTY 1: Provide broad range of computer engineering analyses entailing unique problems, creativity innovative use of techniques, advanced approaches, and/or new technologies in the secure design of current and future information technology architectures and standards supporting the 1 ACOS EU-ESC AFSCI mission.
- →DUTY 2: Utilizes scientific inquiry to evaluate the security of and advocate for EU-ESC AFSCI initiatives via corporate processes to adhere to Intelligence Community (IC) standards and direction.
- →DUTY 3: Directs and/or participate as a subject matter authority in various advisory committees, technical review boards, and/or other meetings related to area of expertise.
- →DUTY 4: Accomplishes professional development and maintains technical proficiency DUTY 5: Attends DoD and agency conference and meetings that bring together national-level and enterprise users to ensure integration information is obtained, disseminated and integration issues are resolved.
Requirements
- ✓CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT.
- ✓Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- ✓A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- ✓Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
- ✓Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
- ✓Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- ✓Shift work may be required, which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
- ✓The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- ✓Travel may include overnight stays.
- ✓Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position.
- ✓Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment.
- ✓This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement.
- ✓Per DoDM 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role.
- ✓A waiver of these requirements may be granted per DoDM 8140.03.
