About the Position: You will manage the USAFRICOM Theater COP using the Global Command & Control System-Joint (GCCS-J), and associated Command and Control (C2) systems for the display and dissemination of critical information for key decision makers in the Joint Operations Center and other USAFRICOM Operating cells as required.
What You'll Do
- →Coordinate information from various DOD sensors/databases and selects information that best meets the Commander's Critical Information Requirements (CCIRs).
- →Responsible for the initial assessment of situational awareness data to ensure relevancy to the USAFRICOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- →Perform Common Operational Picture (COP) Manager duties in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), policies, and established Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
- →Effectively use Geographic Information System (GIS) information, Keyhole Markup Language (KML) files, and Webtas Query Tools to disseminate knowledge enhancing products within the COP.
- →Responsible for the selection of operations and intelligence data for presentation to the Commander, USAFRICOM, his staff, components, and subordinate organizations.
- →Collaborate with the Joint Operations Center (JOC) Team Chief and Operations Officer to prioritize data on potential or emerging threats.
