What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Combat Power Preservation Branch Head for the Marine Corps Total Fitness (MCTF) Directorate, Marine and Family Programs Division.
- →Serves as one of four principal advisors to the Deputy Director, Total Fitness Directorate on executive level strategic planning for prevention, policies, reporting and accountability.
- →Develops, monitors and implements guidance to assist with the operation of aspects related to prevention, such as; Suicide Prevention Capability (SPC), Operational Stress Control and Readiness (OSCAR), Embedded Preventive Integrated Capability (EPIC) and other prevention activities that contribute to the education and prevention of harmful behaviors across the Marine Corps.
- →Provides expert guidance requiring professional knowledge of psychological/social work principles, theories, and methods and methodologies to behaviorally related problems and situations.
- →Management Serves as a recognized subject matter expert on strategic planning of organizational goals related to the development, monitoring and advancing of prevention programs.
- →Develops operational guidelines for the full range of actions and standards for prevention programs within their area of responsibility.
- →Provides continuity and coordination expertise for prevention policies affecting personnel readiness policies (in coordination and collaboration with MCTF Operations Policy Specialist).
- →Recommends adjustments to policies, programs, and projects to improve operations and efficiencies.
- →Identifies problems, provides advice, guidance, options and recommended courses of action to improve programming and to achieve goals.
- →Approves responses to Congressional inquiries, taskers, reports, field guidance and letters for soundness and consistency with law and policy.
- →Organizes and defines Branch goals and functions, sets priorities, and determines and allocates resources where applicable.
- →Implements quality assurance processes and compliance.
- →As a key member of the leadership team, represents the MF Division as a subject matter expert on prevention, operations and strategic planning and integration, and on various Department of War (DoW)-wide/level committees, working groups and process action teams.
- →Provides, expert presentations and briefings on all aspects of MCTF.
