About the Position: This position is located in Schofield Barracks, Desmond T Doss Health Clinic in Hawaii. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide individual and group therapy, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy.
- →Screen and interview patients, perform bio-psychological social evaluations using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling.
- →Provide evidence-based psychological assessments focusing on the interplay between physical health and mental well-being (e.g., chronic pain, oncology, sleep disorders, and cardiovascular health).
- →Evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts, and institute changes to increase effectiveness of therapeutic efforts.
- →Act as a primary consultant for medical providers to optimize patient outcomes through integrated treatment plans.
- →Maintain timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record ensuring compliance with DHA, regulatory, and billing standards.
- →Present cases and provide training on evidence based methods to peers.
