About the Role
About the Position: This position is located within the Naval Health Clinic Port Hueneme in Ventura, California. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who exhibit evidence the full range of disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition.
- →Conduct psychological assessment of patients with a wide variety of known or suspected psychological disorders that affect intellectual, cognitive, behavioral or emotional functioning.
- →Provide individual and group short-term therapy sessions, including psychoeducational sessions.
- →Consult and provide opinions to other health professionals on various topics related to the psychology of the patient.
- →Perform psychotherapeutic intervention or environmental modification based on scientific, evidence-based practice.
- →Oversee, administer, and interpret appropriate psychological tests.
