About the Role
About the Position: This position is located within Naval Branch Health Clinics, Naval Base, Norfolk, Virginia. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Recruitment Incentive may be authorized. Relocation Incentive may be authorized. Student Loan Repayment may be authorized. Advanced Leave Accrual may be authorized. Advanced In-hire may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Provide individual and group treatment, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-mental therapy, and psychoeducational classes.
- →Assess acute mental health and mental medicine conditions in beneficiaries who present with such issues.
- →Provide treatment via targeted and efficient appointments for initial and follow-up visits.
- →Perform biopsychosocial evaluations using expert knowledge of clinical psychology.
- →Educate clinic staff on the principles of mental health via trainings and briefings.
- →Establish cooperative agreements among various providers and clinics throughout the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
