About the Position: This position is located in Honolulu, HI, at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Directorate of Mental Health, Psychology Services. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Clinical Psychologist for the Department of Mental Health delivering outpatient mental health services.
- →Provide individual and group therapy using various evidence-based modalities as clinically indicated, to include brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and psychoeducational classes.
- →Educate clinic staff on the principles of mental health via trainings and briefings.
- →Manage acute mental health conditions, providing crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
- →Develop, monitor and execute comprehensive treatment plans for complex and severe cases using objective outcome measures.
- →Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and clinical peer reviews to ensure standard of care compliance.
- →Conduct meetings and conferences to review the level of care for appropriateness of treatment in Mental Health and evaluate and approve referral sources.
