About the Role
About the Position: These positions reside within the Mental Health directorate located at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This is an open continuous announcement. Applications will be collected and reviewed until all vacancies are filled.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Clinical Psychologist Mental Health Consultant by integrating mental health providers into Primary Care Clinics to deliver evidence-based biopsychosocial assessment, treatment and prevention of mental health conditions.
- →Provide individual and group treatment, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychoeducational classes.
- →Conduct mental health diagnoses in accordance with the most recent version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
- →Assess and provide intervention for individuals with a wide range of chronic medical conditions, and mental health issues affecting medical conditions to include assessment and disposition of beneficiaries with acute and chronic risk.
- →Provide treatment through targeted and efficient appointments for initial and follow-up visits.
- →Educate clinic staff on the principles of primary care behavioral health via trainings and briefings.
