About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →The ACT team provides evidence-based treatments, psychological assessments treatment planning, wrap around and referral services and case management for veterans with substance use problems and co-occurring mental health conditions as part of a multidisciplinary program.
- →Duties may include but are not limited to: Conducts basic psychological assessments and diagnostic interviews for individuals with substance use disorders, using established assessment batteries and templates.
- →Provides structured, manualized, or protocol-driven trauma informed therapeutic interventions (e.g., skills-based groups, motivational enhancement sessions) for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns.
- →Assists with training activities by presenting selected case material, co-facilitating groups with trainees, or demonstrating specific clinical procedures.
- →Ensures timely and accurate completion of clinical documentation for all encounters, assessments, and care coordination activities, incorporating outcome measures and quality indicators as required by program and facility policy.
- →Participates in clinical research or quality improvement projects by helping design data collection tools, coordinating participant recruitment, and conducting basic data management and analysis within an established team.
- →Supports the Psychology Service training program as needed by serving on committees, presenting at seminars and other activities.
- →Oversees the establishment of program monitors and outcome measurements within programs assigned using data-driven quality assurance processes as need.
