About the Role
Pharmacy Service is seeking a part-time Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to support the Ambulatory Surgery Unit Team.
What You'll Do
- →Promotes a patient-focused, team-based pharmaceutical care model, including medication management and clinical decision-making.
- →Works collaboratively with medical providers to design, monitor, and adjust evidence-based pharmacotherapeutic treatment plans.
- →Documents clinical interventions and therapeutic plans accurately and professionally in CPRS.
- →Assists in training clinical clerkship students in ambulatory care rotations.
- →Provides therapeutic lectures and serves as a content expert for pharmacy student/resident education.
- →Schedules and delivers educational programs for pharmacy staff and patient/family education.
- →Prioritizes work and makes administrative decisions for daily operation when supervisory pharmacists are unavailable.
- →Supervises technical support staff during holidays and off tours.
- →Ensures compliance with pharmacy service and regulatory policies, including inventory management and formulary management.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
