About the Position: This position is located at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Florida in the Clinical Laboratory Section working in a single occupant office and with attached microbiology section. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Advance Leave Accrual/ salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who qualify.
What You'll Do
- →Resolve inconsistent test results and the occurrence of unusual events and takes appropriate action.
- →Performs specialized and technically demanding tests Deal directly with patient care credentialed providers in discussing interpretation of test results Train, education, and asses the performance of medical lab tech who work in the microbiology lab.
- →Conduct the administrative and quality review to maintain accreditation within the lab.
- →Review daily quality control and quality assurance data, recognize and solve quality assurance problems.
- →Apply scientifically based analytical evaluations to ensure technical and statistical accuracy of tests and procedures.
- →Assist in evaluating new test procedures, establishing constituent normal ranges.
