About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
What You'll Do
- →Perform highly complex and specialized laboratory procedures.
- →Perform various tests that may stand alone or in an algorithm of other laboratory testing to diagnose and assess the prognosis of patients.
- →Resolve technical problems and ensure remedial actions are taken whenever test results deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
- →Assist laboratory supervisor with development of goals and objectives that integrate organizational and medical Laboratory objectives.
- →Review historical data and trends to determine areas where improvements are warranted and makes reccomendations on how to improve laboratory services.
- →Monitor the recording and reporting of test results.
- →Observe the maintenance and functional checks performed on laboratory equipment and instruments.
- →Identifies technical problems and takes corrective actions whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
- →Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments relating to laboratory services.
