What You'll Do
- →Responsible for performing all clinical laboratory testing in a Federal Bureau of Prison correctional facility.
- →Will function as a generalist performing testing in all disciplines of the clinical laboratory including hematology, blood bank, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, microbiology, chemistry and specimen collection.
- →The nature of the work demands an advanced thorough knowledge of clinical laboratory sciences as they relate to the performance of laboratory analysis on human blood, tissues and body fluids.
- →A specialized knowledge of clinical correlation which relates laboratory test data to human physiology, a broad knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies, laboratory equipment/ instrumentation maintenance and quality assurance procedures is required.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
