What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the New Parent Home Support Visitor providing New Parent Support Program (NPSP) services.
- →You will coordinate a New Parent Support (NPS) program for compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- →You will coordinate support services for expectant parents during pregnancy to education on prenatal or postpartum programs with individualized center and home-based assessments.
- →You will provide prenatal and postpartum education and support to new parents.
- →You will discuss with staff members technical aspects on New Parent Support Program policies and procedures.
- →You will promote and publicize training resources available for social services programs.
- →You will administer ongoing case management services to assess individual or family needs.
Requirements
- ✓OR Have four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- ✓Basic education requirements for the GS-0185, Professional Social Work Series: Have successfully completed a degree in social work that fulfills all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- ✓OR Have successfully completed a master's degree in social work with practicum.
