What You'll Do
- →Analyze effectiveness of engineering projects within a forest or natural resource management area.
- →Direct or review the preparation of complete and detailed project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
- →Provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and contractors in the planning and management of civil engineering projects.
- →Participate in the development of strategic plans involving program, project, budget, and organizational elements.
- →Negotiate settlement of differences for all construction contracts under engineering and recommend a basis for satisfactory settlements to contracting officer in formal contract construction.
- →Implement and execute project plans and ensure quality, quantity, and coordination of all work performed for the engineering program area(s) assigned.
- →Perform supervisory responsibilities 20% of the time.
- →Plan the work to be accomplished by the unit, assign work to employees, and establish production or quality standards for the unit's work.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
