About the Role
The Chief, Office of Professional Responsibility reports to the Deputy Director who provides general guidance and administrative direction. The work is performed independently, with the technical aspects reviewed only as to the soundness of recommendations made and actions taken under delegated authority, and with performance evaluated in terms of overall administrative and operational accomplishment.
What You'll Do
- →Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is an agency within the U.S.
- →Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
- →We lawfully administer immigration and naturalization adjudication functions and establish immigration services policies and priorities.
- →The Office of Professional Responsibility is responsible for overseeing all professional responsibility functions related to USCIS.
- →This includes managing ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and promoting integrity and accountability within the division.
- →Major Duties Provides leadership and direction for USCIS professional responsibility activities.
- →Develops and implements policies and procedures to promote ethical conduct and accountability.
- →Prepares reports and briefings for senior leadership.
- →Provides guidance and training to subordinate staff on professional standards.
- →Maintains confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
- →As a member of the agency's executive team, you will implement the President's Management Agenda within your specific area of responsibility.
