As Chief of Staff, you will serve as an operational leader, supporting executive management in achieving organizational goals. You will be responsible for coordinating strategic initiatives, overseeing project execution, and ensuring efficient operations across the organization.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as an advisor to the Chief Information Officer and Deputy Chief Information Officers.
- →Prepares statements on important policy and operational decisions in coordination with the appropriate USCIS offices.
- →Oversees both key mission support functions and core operational functions.
- →Communicates emergence of significant issues and areas that require urgent attention.
- →Provides authoritative advice and guidance regarding current and future information systems, concepts, practices and operations.
- →Builds and maintains productive working relationships and information networks with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- ✓Conditions of Employment: You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
- ✓Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- ✓This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
- ✓Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
- ✓Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position.
- ✓You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
- ✓EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
