About the Role

This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships (DRR), Resolution Strategy Branch, Franchise Analysis & Marketing Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in either Dallas, TX, New York City, NY, or Washington, D.C. Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $277,500.

What You'll Do

  • As the Chief, Least Cost Modeling and Valuations, the incumbent is responsible for the following: Primary responsibility for developing, maintaining, and applying the Least Cost Test to all resolution transactions.
  • Serves as a project leader and manager in the Resolution Strategy Branch.
  • Develops policy and oversees resolutions of failing institutions as well as various projects related to resolutions nationwide.
  • Develops and/or interprets policies and oversees responsibility for all aspects of the least cost resolution process.
  • Monitors the application of policies by staff and provides justifications for major program changes as appropriate.
  • Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness and execution to ensure overall efficiencies.
  • Stays abreast of current resolution issues and solicits input from subordinates for determining when policy and operational procedural changes are needed.
  • Analyzes or oversees the analysis of proposals to mitigate risk to the insurance fund.
  • Develops comprehensive business and strategic plans to facilitate accomplishment of Division goals and objectives including directing and/or engaging in a variety of special assignments, projects, and activities as maybe required.
  • Reviews, evaluates and recommends proposals submitted by bidders.
  • Evaluates information regarding new developments in complex asset types, evolving financial risks, and least cost test methodologies.
  • Provides advice and guides staff personnel regarding planning, directing, reviewing, analyzing, and coordinating the division's policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Interprets policies, procedures, and guideline materials for inclusion in various operational manuals.
  • Establishes and maintains continuing liaison with counterparts in other organizational elements of the Corporation and officials of other regulatory agencies.
