The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is recruiting for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This position is in the DHS Cybersecurity Service.
What You'll Do
- →As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), you will lead the delivery of CISA enterprise-wide solutions and services to meet the Agency's internal information technology and communications needs.
- →You will lead the delivery of large-scale technology products supporting CISA's Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Security, and Emergency Communications missions.
- →You will serve as the executive overseeing the programs setting the technology strategy of the Agency (Chief Technology Officer) and ensuring the security of the IT systems of the Agency (Chief Information Security Officer).
- →You will serve as the CISA liaison to the DHS CIO and participate in information technology (IT) planning, oversight, and leadership initiatives.
- →As a Senior Cybersecurity Executive in the DHS Cybersecurity Service, you will lead and oversee multifaceted aspects of OCIO's mission, programs, and personnel.
- →Set a bold enterprise vision for modern, product-driven IT delivery and responsible AI adoption, aligning CISA's technology investments with mission outcomes, user needs, cybersecurity priorities, operational demands, and measurable impact.
- →Build and empower exceptional cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, designers, cybersecurity experts, AI and data leaders, acquisition professionals, and mission partners to deliver high-value capabilities at speed and scale.
- →Champion product management, agile delivery, DevSecOps, human-centered design, and responsible AI integration to accelerate delivery, reduce risk, improve reliability, and create outstanding user experiences for CISA's workforce and partners.
- →Serve as an Agency strategic advisor to the CISA Deputy Director, aligning IT objectives and programs with Agency strategy, ensuring a steady state IT operations environment.
- →Create a culture of ownership, transparency, experimentation, and continuous learning where teams are empowered to solve complex problems and deliver exceptional outcomes.
- →Develop and monitor business performance criteria and service levels, contingency planning and support for business continuity, logistics for hardware and software assets, and long-range planning for the sustained growth of a modern IT business enterprise.
- →Oversee IT acquisition programs in coordination with DHS, implementing statutory requirements such as FITARA, and ensuring compliance with OMB policy (e.g., Improving the Acquisition and Management of Common IT).
- →Manage day-to-day enterprise IT service operations and communication needs for a national Agency, with a regional footprint (e.g., customer advocacy, project management, asset management, software license management, and IT support operations).
- →Actively oversees monitoring of IT projects ensuring quality, performance, and on schedule delivery within budget.
