About the Role
You will serve as a CHEMIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL LABORATORY of NAVAL STATION.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the chemist responsible for the qualitive and quantitative chemical analyses in a wide variety of environmental samples.
- →You will develop the methodology, test procedures, and the sequence to follow for complete chemical analyses You will maintain the quality assurance program to verify the validity of test results for accuracy and precision.
Requirements
- ✓Combination of education and experience -- course work equivalent to a major as shown in A above, including at least 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
- ✓For the GS-11 grade level, you may substitute the following education for the specialized experience: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in a field related to the position.
- ✓OR Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a major study in a field related to the position.
- ✓OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
- ✓My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent
