About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a CHAPLAIN (Title 32), Position Description Number D2465000 and is part of the OK 138th Fighter Wing, Oklahoma Air National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →This position is located at the Wing Commander's Staff.
- →This position is the highest full-time level authorized with oversight over the entire full-time chaplain program during non "M-Day" days at location.
- →This position is the senior or staff level position within the applicable organization and exhibits full professional maturity for the various religious programs the employee is responsible for.
- →This position may be responsible for the supervision of a full-time Enlisted Religious Affairs Person.
- →The mission of the National Guard Chaplain Service is to provide unsurpassed spiritual leadership and care to National Guard personnel and their families at home and abroad.
- →The primary purpose of this position is to manage the WING religious program, and to ensure the free exercise of religion for National Guard personnel and their families.
- →This position is characterized by the high degree of integration into a complete and total program of religious ministries, including advisement to leadership, workshops, spiritual leadership and care, religious education, and other activities for National Guard personnel and their families.
- →The Chaplain Service ministry is performed cooperatively, and executed in a pluralistic environment.
- →This ministry, when directed, may be extended to active duty and reserve component military personnel and their families.
- →Program Management: Manages the Wing Chaplain Services program in accordance with National Guard Chaplain Service program goals and objectives.
- →Oversees the execution of the Airman Ministry Plan (AMP) for Air National Guard Personnel.
- →Assesses the needs of the various Chaplain Services program customers.
- →Recommends changes to the AMP for the Air Personnel.
- →Ensures program changes are compatible and compliant with policies, practices and program goals and objectives established by the Air National Guard Chaplain Corps (NGB/HC).
Requirements
- ✓Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have a baccalaureate degree (not less than 120 semester hours) and must have successfully completed three years of resident graduate study in theology or related subjects (Master of Divinity), or 72 semester hours (leading to an ecclesiastical certification as a member of the clergy) from an approved seminary or graduate school.
- ✓Candidates must complete the (Army) Chaplain Officer Basic Course or the (Air Force) Chaplain Orientation Course.
- ✓You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
- ✓To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
