About the Role
This position is located in the Facilities and Property Branch. Under the general direction of the Space Management Section Chief, the incumbent has responsibility for planning and coordinating space, facility, support services projects and occupational safety and health. The incumbent is the Agency's Safety Liaison and serves as a technical advisor to the Health and Safety Advisory Committee comprised of Agency management and bargaining unit representatives.
What You'll Do
- →As a, Building and Property Management Specialist, GS- 1101-13, your typical work assignments may include: Planning and coordinating space, facility, and support services projects and occupational safety and health programs for Headquarters and field offices.
- →Developing and reviewing space plans for relocations, renovation projects, and reallocation strategies, ensuring compliance with fire/safety codes, ADA requirements, and design efficiency.
- →Performing construction management tasks, including developing layouts, coordinating contractors, monitoring schedules, reviewing drawings, and tracking project budgets.
- →Conducting inspections to detect hazards and implements corrective actions, including environmental testing, ergonomic assessments, and accident prevention and control programs.
- →Advising management and serves as a technical expert on safety, space management, and facilities issues, including ensuring compliance with Federal regulations and internal controls.
