About the Role
This position is located within the Budget Office in the Office of Management (OM), National Cemetery Administration (NCA), Department of Veterans Affairs. The incumbent serves as the Director of Budget Service, reporting directly to the NCA Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The position provides executive leadership, authoritative guidance, and oversight of all phases of NCA's budget lifecycle across nationwide programs and cemetery operations.
What You'll Do
- →Direct and integrate all phases of NCA's budget development and execution processes for multiple appropriations, trust funds, and funding authorities.
- →Prepare program and budget documents, develop strategic funding justifications, and oversee the interpretation of Congressional and administrative requirements to support resource planning.
- →Develop and implement allocation methodologies to distribute resources across national cemeteries, district offices, and headquarters functions.
- →Conduct detailed financial analyses, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions to ensure effective use of funds and achievement of mission priorities.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: Ad-hoc telework (situational telework) available as determined by the agency policy.

- ✓Prohibitions on prohibited personnel practices will be enforced by the Office of General Counsel and not the Office of Special Counsel.
