What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering the full spectrum of budget and financial management services.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Providing budget recommendations to management based on sound analysis and expert knowledge of budgetary cycles, policies, and best practices.
- →Preparing budget justifications for recommended allocation levels, and monitoring progress regularly throughout the year to determine any potential need for reallocation.
- →Analyzing execution data to identify potential errors, calculate variables affecting district costs, and project future budgetary needs.
- →Managing the certification of obligations for the district ensuring all financial records, i.e. commitments, obligations, expenditures, delivery status and available balances, are accurate and supported with proper fund control documentation.
- →Monitoring payroll accounting accuracy to catch improper account charges between direct and reimbursable budgets and ensuring full use of reimbursable funds.
- →Preparing monthly financial and budgetary reports to office management, and quarterly reports to the agency.
- →Providing technical advice and assistance to resolve problems referred to by staff and management.
