What You'll Do
- →At the full performance level, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and administering the full spectrum of budget and financial management services for the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Mississippi.
- →If selected for this position, you will receive formal and/or on-the-job training, as needed.
- →Typical duties will include: Developing and maintaining a comprehensive financial management program that involves both short and long-range programmatic plans and annual budget.
- →Researching legal, regulatory, program, and budgetary information.
- →Preparing annual administrative budgets and operating plans.
- →Advising management on the planning and development of budget requirements.
- →Monitoring and tracking obligations and expenditures for the office.
- →Managing the certifications of obligations of goods and services.
- →Providing information based on the products of the financial management system Overseeing the processing of travel authorizations and traveI vouchers/claims.
- →Providing a wide variety of budgetary reports.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
- →This position is considered a career ladder opportunity, with a full performance level of GS-I2.
- →If selected at a lower grade level, you may be non-competitively promoted to the next grade level at the discretion of your supervisor and is contingent upon meeting regulatory and legal requirements for promotion, satisfactory performance, and the availability of higher-level work.

Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓For a list of schools that meet this criteria, see http://www.ed.gov OR Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
